My name is Charlotte Larrazabal, I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina but spent most of my youth in Caracas, Venezuela. My love for art began at an age I can’t even remember.
I moved permanently to the United States in 1999, earning a living by teaching swimming yoga and art at the YMCA and College.
While attending Seminole Community College.I was encouraged by my art professor to apply for admissions to Ringling College of Art and Design. I was accepted at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida in the spring of 2006. The focus of my studies was illustration and painting.
I was selected to exhibit at the Illest of Ill in 2009. The judges were Sam Weber who is the art director of New York Times, and Jillian Tamaki who works with Esquire, ESPN and the New York Times, to name a few. In 2009 and 2010 I was one, from of over 4000 entries selected for admission into the legit Society of Illustrators. I exhibited this year at Affair Art Gallery, The Bricks and Two Blondes and a Shrimp in Fl.
I had volunteered for couple months to help hanging art for shows at the Orlando Museum, Fl.
Now, I'm living in Barcelona, Spain. I am a FREELANCE ARTIST, I do commission work and I paint every day.
Thanks and hope everyone can enjoy my work.
